This appendix defines the protocol identifiers that are used in protocol towers. Three types of protocol identifiers are supported:
OSF maintains a registry of transfer syntax identifiers encoded by
using UUID_type_identifiers. Currently there is one registered
value for NDR. Hexadecimal values for the NDR syntax identifier fields
are shown in
