DESCRIPTION

This Product Standard provides a command line interface to Internet Protocol Suite (IPS) File Transfer Protocol (ftp) functionality as an initiator using OSI FTAM. Support for acting as a responder to requests from BSFT initiators is optionally provided.

CONFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Products conforming to the BSFT Product Standard shall conform to the requirements of a BSFT initiator as specified in the X/Open BSFT Specification¹, including Erratum, April 1992 for pages 24 and 25, and may optionally conform to the requirements of a BSFT responder.

• Communications Interfaces and Protocols

  Products conforming to the BSFT Product Standard shall deliver the functionality and services defined in the X/Open BSFT Specification, including Erratum, April 1992 for pages 24 and 25, through use of the specified communications protocols, as summarized in Chapter 6, BSFT Requirements.

  Details of underlying protocol support must be documented in the Conformance Statement.
