TOGAF 8 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

When this logo is used on, or in relation to, a product registered as conformant to this Product Standard, it must be accompanied by an attribution, in the form defined in the TOGAF Certification Agreement, which includes the TOGAF 8 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Product Standard name.

DESCRIPTION

The TOGAF 8 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Product Standard is for professional services offered in support of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Version 8¹, to ensure that organizations offering such services abide by an approved Code of Practice, and use only properly trained architects for such services.

It defines the nature of professional services that may be offered in association with TOGAF Version 8. In so doing, it references a Code of Practice² to which service providers must adhere.

CONFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

In order to submit an application for certification to the TOGAF 8 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Product Standard, the applicant must:

• Have a current commercial license for TOGAF Version 8.1

• Agree to abide by the TOGAF 8 Code of Practice

• Commit to use of TOGAF 8 CERTIFIED³ practitioners in provision of professional services registered to the TOGAF 8 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Product Standard.

• Have a training policy for its TOGAF 8 CERTIFIED practitioners

• Maintain a register with The Open Group of the names of all personnel currently providing the TOGAF 8 professional services

Not applicable.

OVERRIDING STANDARDS

There are no overriding standards for this Product Standard.

INDICATORS OF COMPLIANCE

The Indicators of Compliance for this Product Standard shall be:

• A commitment that the applicant:

  • Agrees to abide by the TOGAF 8 Code of Practice

  • Commits to use only practitioners listed on the Certification Register for the TOGAF 8 CERTIFIED Product Standard in provision of professional services registered to the TOGAF 8 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Product Standard

  • Agrees to maintain a current register with The Open Group of the names of all personnel providing the TOGAF 8 professional services

  • Commits to have a training policy in respect of its practitioners who provide the professional services registered to the TOGAF 8 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Product Standard

MIGRATION

As this is the first version of this Product Standard, there are no migration issues.
