OVERRIDING STANDARDS

The Open Group specification of ISO C is a direct reference to ISO/IEC 9899:1999. Deference is therefore not applicable.

INDICATORS OF COMPLIANCE

Support for ISO C is a mandatory requirement for conformance to this Product Standard. The Indicator of Compliance is as defined below:

MIGRATION

In this version of this Product Standard the requirement for Common Usage C has been withdrawn, and the ISO/IEC 9899:1990 standard has been superseded by ISO/IEC 9899:1999.

For a description of the migration path to ISO C, refer to the generally available literature. Detailed migration information of the differences between ISO/IEC 9899:1990 and ISO/IEC 9899:1999 can be found in Chapter 16 of The Authorized Guide to Version 3 of the Single UNIX Specification.2
