The functionality described on this reference page is aligned with the ISO C standard. Any conflict between the
requirements described here and the ISO C standard is unintentional. This volume of POSIX.1-2024 defers to the ISO C
standard.

The thrd_current() function shall identify the thread that called it.
RETURN VALUE
The thrd_current() function shall return the thread ID of the thread that called it.
The thrd_current() function shall always be successful. No return value is reserved to indicate an error.
