1. Introduction

1.1 Scope

This document provides guidelines for the structure and drafting of technical documents for publication by The Open Group. Technical documents include The Open Group Standards and Guides, White Papers, Technical Studies, Case Studies, Certification documentation, and other business titles.

These guidelines are intended to ensure that such documents are drafted to be as uniform as practicable, irrespective of the content.
