It includes guidance on the development of The Open Group publications using the AsciiDoc markup language in a GitLab® environment This is suitable for development of standards, guides, and white papers, including standards that are being submitted as ISO/IEC standards. The output can also be configured for camera-ready hardcopy publications. The audience for this guide is members of The Open Group who want to develop a document using the GitLab platform and the AsciiDoc markup language. About the Authors Andrew Josey, The Open Group Andrew Josey is VP Standards and Certification, overseeing all certification and testing programs of The Open Group. He also manages the standards process for The Open Group. Since joining the company in 1996, Andrew has been closely involved with the standards development, certification, and testing activities of The Open Group. He has led many standards development projects including specification and certification program development for the ArchiMate®, DPBoK(tm), TOGAF®, POSIX®, and UNIX® programs. Most recently he has led the development of the TOGAF Certification Portfolio adding certifications and certification credentials based on the TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition. He has led the automation of The Open Group standards development using a GitLab-based automated build toolchain. He is the lead author of this document. He is a member of the IEEE, USENIX, and the Association of Enterprise Architects (AEA). He holds an MSc in Computer Science from University College London. David Lounsbury David is the former Chief Technical Officer for The Open Group, now retired. As CTO he ensured that the people and IT resources at The Open Group were effectively used to implement the organization’s strategy and mission, including The Open Group proven processes for collaboration and certification both within the organization and in support of third-party consortia. David’s previous executive assignments at The Open Group and the Open Software Foundation (OSF) include VP Advanced Research and Innovation which fostered open systems technology through collaborative funding and development, including LDAP, ActiveX Core Technology, DCE 1.2, CDE-Next, and Complex Text Layout. Since retiring from The Open Group, David provides consultancy specializing in digital business strategy. David holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and is holder of three US patents. Anna Adams Anna is a Technical Editor at The Open Group. Before joining the company full-time in January 2020, Anna worked in the Education sector in the UK, teaching History in a range of settings to include A-Level and SEND. Anna holds an undergraduate degree in Social Anthropology from Manchester University, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Keele University, and an MA in Environment, Policy, and Society from the Open University.
